Catalytic convertor theft prevention program

With catalytic convertor theft on the rise, not just in Philadelphia, but around the world, NE Phila Connected, and Robert Stewart would like to introduce an initiative to help slow and prevent this criminal behavior. This initiative will aid in the investigation and prosecution of the thieves themselves and the shops that are buying stolen property.

The initiative consists of the following:

Placing a sticker (to be provided) on your window. This sticker will notify wannabe thieves that this vehicle is marked and “CAT” has lost it resale value as well as now trackable.
Catalytic will be painted for easy identification, and the vehicle’s VIN number will be engraved on the “CAT” to identify it in case of theft.

Though you are not getting immunity from theft, you are making it possible to prosecute those responsible for damages to your property in the event it is stolen. By not doing anything, we are allowing this activity to continue. We are hoping that by taking these steps, we can slow and eventually deter these crimes from happening.

After you engraved it
